Going For IVF? Here is what you should know. Cosmo Multi Specialty Hospital

If you are experiencing failures trying to conceive or have a baby, a good IVF Centre in Chandigarh can help you. In Vitro Fertilization treatment is the process of fertilizing female and male reproductive cells in a laboratory setting so that a baby can be formed. For IVF treatments to be successful, healthy reproductive cells are required. These are basically sperms and eggs. This means both the male and female partners must be examined medically first.
Preparation
Female eggs are developed and grown in preparation for the IVF process for approximately 10 days. This involves developing the eggs through controlled stimulation and ovulation induction. Through a basic surgical procedure known as oocyte or egg retrieval, the reproductive cells of the female partner are collected and transferred into a laboratory setting. This method is called OPU. Male sperm are collected through masturbation. If the semen does not have any sperm in it or if there is a low sperm count, then sperm are extracted from the testes through a surgical operation using a microscope.
The process
The sperm and eggs are fertilized in a laboratory setting. The process is called insemination. The result of this fertilization is an embryo. The embryo that is formed through this process is then transferred to the uterus by specialists in a Chandigarh IVF Centre. A special catheter is used for the transfer. This process is known as embryo transfer.
Here are the steps involved in this process:
1.     Ovary suppression through medication
2.  Ovary stimulation which involves ovulation induction and controlled hyper stimulation of the ovary
3.     Eggs collection through a method called Ovum Pick Up or OPU
4.     Insemination, which entails the introduction of sperm after collecting the eggs in a specially prepared fluid. The eggs and sperm are kept in incubators which imitate the body of the mother as the medium.
5.    Transfer of the embryo which depends on the speed or rate of division after 2 to 5 days from the time the divided embryos are collected and transferred into the womb. A catheter is used and the procedure is known as Embryo Transfer.

If you have been unable to conceive in years then you can go for IVF Treatment in Chandigarh. It will bless you with the best gift ever.
